Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the index card match method in increasing interest in learning Arabic subjects. This research uses action research methods that are carried out in two cycles including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection activities. The subject of the study was a class X MIA student at MAN 2 Cirebon City. Data collection uses observation techniques, interviews, tests, field notes and documentation that are directly carried out in the field. The data analysis used includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that learning Arabic through the Index Card Match method can increase interest in learning. In cycle I the percentage of interest of 42.7% increased to 58.7% in cycle II. The Index Card Match method can be applied to Madrasah Aliyah students.
