ESENSIA: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Ushuluddin is a semiannual international journal devoting special attention to questions of Islamic theology (uṣūl ad-dīn). This topic illuminates the immense significance of Islam in the context of religious life, to which it has delivered unique perspectives, approaches, and a range of contributions of abiding interest.

The journal was first published in June 2000 and follows a biannual publication schedule, releasing issues in July and December each year. Launched on the digital platform in 2011, ESENSIA provides scholarly but accessible peer-reviewed research articles, aimed at national and international academic readership, with both respect to scientific approaches to the field and discoveries of new materials.
